Curriculum Coordinator
I am a graduate of Malvern High School. I graduated from Henderson State University in 2007, 2016, and 2019.
I also have earned three degrees from Henderson State University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education Degree, I also have my Masters of Science in Education, and most recently I graduated with my Educational Specialist Degree for District level. I am ESL certified K-12.
I am also a member of the Alpha Epsilon Lambda National Honor Society. Alpha Epsilon Lambda recognizes, promotes, and fosters outstanding leadership and high academic achievement among graduate and professional school students.
In 2011, I started teaching fourth grade at Bismarck Elementary School. I then taught third grade. For the five years, I was at Bismarck Elementary School, I served as the Elementary School Parent Involvement facilitator and worked in the After School Program. I taught here until 2016. I am back in the district as the Curriculum Coordinator and I could not be more excited to be back home.
Before I came back to Bismarck School District, I worked at Dawson Education Cooperative as a K-12 Literacy Specialist. I transitioned into a RISE Regional Literacy Specialist working with a team on the Governor’s Reading Initiative. I traveled all through South Arkansas working with School Districts in supporting teachers with RISE training and implementation in their classrooms.
I am married to my husband, Randy. I have two step-sons, Zach and Trent. We have a beautiful daughter-in-law, Amy, and she and Zach have one son, Elliott. Trent has a gorgeous baby girl named Novella. I am an Aunt Sissy to six fabulous nieces and nephews! Proud is an understatement!
My husband and I have three dogs (Maggie Mae, Roxy Anne, and Chewy B.) and two cats (Kitty Kitty and GiGi). This does not include our chickens and catfish!
I love to read and I enjoy the beach! Fishing is one of my favorite pastimes. I love spending time with my family!
